PokePath TD Wiki: Complete Game Mechanics & Data Guide

PokePath TD Wiki: Complete Game Mechanics & Data Guide

Welcome to the unofficial PokePath TD Wiki and comprehensive game guide.

Whether you are looking for specific evolution levels, trying to understand how status effects work, or searching for hidden game mechanics, this database has everything you need. This guide is updated for the latest version of PokePath TD (2025).

📊 Evolution Chart & Requirements

Unlike the main-line Pokémon games, evolution in PokePath TD is simplified. Most Pokémon evolve purely by leveling up, even those that usually require stones or trading.

Below is the complete PokePath TD Wiki evolution data list, sourced directly from the game files and community testing.

Most Pokémon evolve at their standard levels. These are the exceptions:

(Note: If a Pokémon is not listed here, it likely follows the standard Level-Up requirements found in official Pokémon games, e.g., Charmander -> Charmeleon at Lv 16.)

🧪 Status Effects & Mechanics Explained

Understanding status effects (often referred to in-game as "Prejudices") is key to beating tough bosses like Registeel or Suicune. Here is the detailed breakdown for our PokePath TD Wiki.

1. Poison (The Boss Killer)

  • Effect: Deals 0.1% of Max HP as damage per tick.
  • Stacking: Stacks infinitely. This is the most important mechanic for high-HP bosses. The longer the battle lasts, the more damage Poison deals.
  • Best Users: Weezing, Arbok, Ariados.

2. Curse / Nightmare (The Infinite Scaler)

  • Effect: Similar to Poison but dealt by Ghost types (specifically Gengar).
  • Mechanic: Applies a "Nightmare" stack. Each hit increases the damage over time.
  • Synergy: Curse damage is separate from Poison damage. You can stack BOTH on a boss for maximum DPS.

3. Slow vs. Stun (Control Effects)

  • Slow: Reduces enemy movement speed.
    • Limit: Zapdos is IMMUNE to Slow.
  • Stun (Paralysis): Stops enemy movement completely for a short duration.
    • Limit: Articuno is IMMUNE to Stun.
  • Strategy: You must swap your control units (Ampharos vs. Corsola) depending on which Boss you are fighting.

4. "Prejudices" Spreading

  • Some unit descriptions mention "spreading the main target's prejudices."
  • Meaning: If you hit an enemy that is already Burned, Poisoned, or Slowed, that status effect will be copied to nearby enemies in the blast radius.

⚔️ Hidden Game Mechanics (Wiki Exclusive)

These are advanced mechanics discovered by the Discord community that are not explained in the game tutorial.

The "Ditto" Copy Logic

  • Mechanic: Ditto copies the Species of the target but keeps its own Level.
  • Example: A Level 100 Ditto copying a Level 1 Charizard becomes a Level 100 Charizard.
  • Pro Tip: You can change Ditto's transformation target in the "Data" menu without deploying it. This allows you to adapt mid-wave without selling/rebuying.

Buff Stacking Rules

  • Sunflora (Damage Aura): Does NOT stack with another Sunflora.
  • Farfetch'd (Crit Damage Aura): Does NOT stack with another Farfetch'd.
  • Cross-Stacking: You CAN stack one Sunflora buff AND one Farfetch'd buff on the same unit for massive damage.

Invisibility Detection

  • Only HonchkrowXatu, and Grumpig have "True Sight."
  • Splash damage (AOE) from other units can reveal invisible enemies if they are standing next to a visible enemy.

🗺️ Map & Terrain Data

Proper placement is essential. Our PokePath TD Wiki terrain guide helps you plan your defense.

  • Grass Tiles: Boosts Grass-type range/damage (e.g., Maractus, Sceptile).
  • Water Tiles: Required for most Water types (e.g., Lapras, Omastar). Some flying/hovering units (like Corsola) can be placed here too.
  • Mountain (High Ground): Grants massive range bonuses to specific units like Aggron and Flygon.
  • Field (Path): No bonuses, but allows placement of standard ground units.

This PokePath TD Wiki page is a living document. As the developer (Khydra) updates the game with new Pokémon and mechanics, we will update this guide. For strategy advice, check out our PokePath TD Tier liest page.
